The Eye Snatcher

Creature design progress. I was doing some human anatomy studies and also insect studies last year and wanted to design a creature that incorporated elements of both. I imagined a wasp like creature that could steal the most precious things we have. Our eyes. Wanted to incorporate a three part jaw and a head that is retractable like a turtle. I spent a day and a half roughing out some forms in zbrush and used this a base to paint up some design options. I then spent a lot more time refining the sculpt and blocking in some surface detail. Next stage is the materials look development and some key frame presentation painting/lighting
